Website for Journalist and Author

Muiris Houston is a well known medical journalist, writer and Health Strategist – he has written weekly for the Irish Times om health matters for over 20 years.

Muiris approached us in advance of the release of his biography on the renowned Irish psychiatrist, writer and broadcaster Anthony Clare – he needed a website to help publicize the launch and provide background information on his interests and writings. Our remit from Muiris was

1. Rework of logo
2. Design, Typography, Colour Palette and graphics on the site
3. Development of the website and CMS
4. Promotion of the book.

Our process to execute this project

We employed WordPress for the website CMS and provided training. The website features

• The ability to amend content from the front end
• Add news items / articles of interest
• Bio information on the author
• Information about the book and how to purchase

A very simple design layout and typography was employed and a bespoke build undertaken. Our goal was to make the site load as quickly as possible and provide the owner with the ability to control the site content with as much ease as possible.
